Beautiful Buildings in KKB - Government Quarters
Beautiful Buildings in Kuala Kubu Bharu - Government Quarters by One Red Blazer.
Jalan Sekolah (School Road) - this one short stretch of road is the main link to two primary schools and a kindergarten in Kuala Kubu Baru. So as you can imagine it is extremely busy on any typical weekday morning and afternoon, when parents and school buses rush in to drop off or fetch school children. The two main primary schools, SK Satu and Khing Ming are here and SK Dua is only a few minutes away.
Opposite the schools is a row of houses sitting along the road and continues all the way to Jalan Syed Masyor and Jalan Hospital. These houses are the oldest government quarters in Kuala Kubu Bharu. They accommodate government servants from the general hospital (located on the hill), local councils, land office and department of education etc. The low rental of the houses and only 5 minutes drive from the town centre provide them a convenient and comfortable living environment for more than half a century. Some of the houses were built since the British colonial period as part of the town planning at that time.
